This is my go-to for tacos. It's amazing... I have never had a bad meal here. There Chilli Verde is some of the best I've ever had ... I always get a side order for the chips and salsa. Now to the Tacos, the cheese pastor is my favorite, but all of there Tacos are great. Be careful after about a week you will start having withdrawals.... so try at your own risk. But if you tell to many people about this place the wait is going to get out of control or they will have to open a second restaurant. LOVE IT...

4.5. What a great find for us in SLC! Unexpectedly delicious. The cheesy al pastor tacos reminded me of eating the tacos at Orinoco in Mexico City. Amazing. Of the tacos, here is the order of best flavor from our group opinion: 1- Al pastor 2- Shrimp 3- Carne Asada The nacho plate with chile verde is delicious and we were pleasantly surprised by the mango enmoladas. For the appetizer, get the chile verde and chorizo queso fundido. I think the chips and salsa should be complimentary. And even paid, it’s the thing we all liked least. Need a new salsa. The service was excellent. Really impressed by the owners’ niece who helped us. Very attentive to our table. One of our new favorite Mexican restaurants along the Wasatch Front. It’s not La Casa Del Tamal in West Valley, but if that is the measuring stick as SLC’s 5-Star Mexican Restaurant, then Del Barrio is a 4.5.

Absolutely amazing. I can rant all day about it! What makes it amazing? Care. They care about the quality of food, they care about the presentation, they care about the delivery, and they care about the impact that overpriced food can be. Most importantly, they care about their customers. We were presented with smiles and conversation with our meal. We saw the actual owners cooking, cleaning, serving, and engaging with their clients. On the surface, you'd think this is a little hole in the wall that serves bland boxed and canned food. You'd be mistaken. And you'd be glad you were. Try the Habanero lemonade. 🤤🤤🤤🤤. My only regret is that i didn't lick the plate when i was done. Sense of decor and all that. Listen, DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!!!!!!

Loved this place. The cheesy tacos are a unique and wonderful way to enjoy Mexican food. We had the el pastor and the birria (shredded beef) tacos. These street tacos are grilled with shredded cheese taken beyond melted, almost to the point of fried. The meats were tender and not overcooked. The chips are small corn tortillas, deep fried and served con salsa auténtica, not the chilled, chopped vegetables in tomato water that many restaurants are trending toward. The entrees come with 3 tacos on a smart little stand with two types of salsa, lime, and chopped onion and cilantro for toppings. The inside seating is cozy with extra-friendly table service. They made us feel like family. The old-fashioned Christmas music was a delightful touch. I'd highly recommend, but this is not diet food, so come hungry with a few extra calories to burn.

Being from So Cal, good, authentic and delicious Mexican food has been tough to find in Utah. I’ve had this place saved as “want to go” for quite some time but just never made it out, until tonight! My wife and I went for dinner and got a Pastor quesadilla to share, then I ordered the Pastor cheesy tacos and Birria Tacos. The pastor tacos were absolutely incredible. The Birria tacos were the best I’ve ever had. The consommé was amazing, the pineapple in the Pastor tacos and the crispy cheese on the ends made them perfect. I am thrilled about finally trying this place as we will be back MANY times. I highly recommend. Also, the chips and salsa were delicious too! Homemade chips were warm and fresh. Our server, Ari, was very sweet, very kind and also helped with my decision on the menu and I am (clearly) very happy with it. Can’t wait to go back!

The tacos and nachos here were unreal! For the most part three tacos was enough to satisfy my hunger. The cheesy ones are the way to go. The nachos were also incredible and huuuuge.

If you're looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food... this little hole in the wall will NOT disappoint! I've tried something new every time and always savor the flavors. Highly recommended! Family owned small business with some great flavors & fantastic people in Midvale. Also one of the few places that make really yummy 😋 queso dip and FRESH lemonade!!

Truly delicious. I ordered the vegetarian taco sampler and was blown away. The fried zucchini was mouth watering, the mushroom and cheese had a savory punch and the poblano was understated but perfectly balanced. The chips are homemade and the house salsa is simple but tasty. Great salsas and their lemonades are tasty without being too sugary. Service was very good as well. Excited to try the rest of the menu.
